Privacy Policy

Thanks for using Liszt by NoteForge! In order to keep things running smoothly, there are certain things that we need to keep track of to keep things running smoothly. This policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use our website and services (“Services”)

What we collect, and why

We collect the following information to provide, improve, protect, and generally run our Services:

Account: We collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, and physical address and associate it with your account.

Services: When you use any of the Services, we store, process, transmit, and display the data you have inputted, uploaded, or shared with the Services (including, but not limited to, audio files, score files, photos, and text-based data) and information related to them.

Cookies, Local Storage, and other technologies: We use technologies like cookies and HTML5 Local Storage to improve, protect, and promote our Services. For example, cookies help us with integrating single-sign-on across the Services, understanding how you interact with the Services, and improving the Services based on that information. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services.

Log Files: Our servers automatically record certain information in server logs whenever you use the Services. These server logs may include information such as your HTTP request, IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages and URLs, and how you interact with links on the Services, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information. Log files help us to monitor, analyze, improve and maintain the Service and to diagnose and fix any Service-related issues.

Location Data: In some instances, Liszt may utilize geolocation data to deliver appropriate options necessary for the operation of the Services, such as geolocation check-in for the Liszt calendar. Unless explicitly stated, this information is processed immediately and is not stored for future use.

Sharing your Information

We may share information as discussed below, but we will not sell it to advertisers or other third parties.

Other Users: Some of our Services may be configured for use by organizations. In this case, information you share as a member of an organization is viewable and editable by other members of the organization.

Specified non-users: Some of our Services allow specified non-users to access specific records via web browser. An example of this is Liszt’s Concert Attendance function, which allows students to view their current recital attendance guidelines via a dynamically-generated URL. Another example is ScoreShare’s Delivery function, which allows specified non-users to access a dynamically-generated URL that contains the files specified for download.

General Public: Some of our Services allow you to publish information designed for viewing by the general public. Some examples of these include our Content Management System, Blogging Engine, Wiki, and Calendar. These components of the Services include clearly-marked publishing controls.

Law: We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, protect any person from death or serious bodily injury, prevent abuse of Liszt or our users, or protect our property rights.

Protecting your Information

When you enter sensitive information as part of our Services, we encrypt the transmission of that information using industry-standard encryption. NoteForge continuously and regularly backs up your data to help prevent data loss and aid in data recovery.
